Southminster is expanding its philanthropic mission by adding a new member to its management team. Tracy McGinnis will lead efforts to formulate an expanded plan of action for Southminster’s community development and charitable goals while raising money for new philanthropic efforts.
McGinnis, who has held sales, marketing, and community relations positions for three other senior living companies in the Carolinas, also previously worked as community outreach manager for the York County Council on Aging. She currently serves as a Board member for the Shepherd’s Center and the Charlotte Aging Coalition, and will soon finish her Graduate Certificate in Gerontology at UNC Charlotte. She has also been a support group facilitator with the Alzheimer’s Association and is a Certified Dementia Specialist.
“Tracy’s experience and enthusiasm will bring new energy to our philanthropic efforts,” says Southminster CEO and President, David Lacy. “Many Southminster residents have devoted time and resources to community service, charitable endeavors and philanthropy throughout their lives, so it’s an area that will always be at the heart of who we are and where we want to go.”
