Community Fund

Southminster’s philanthropic priorities focus on resident assistance, community health, education and cultural arts. Through both charitable contributions and working alongside community partners we embrace the challenge of responding to the needs of our community, both on our campus and in greater Charlotte Mecklenburg. Join us as we continue to give, grow, and serve.

Campaign for Southminster

Embrace Health at Southminster Brings Great Change to Health Care with a Small House Approach
Southminster has created the most resident-centered community in the Carolinas with an architecturally vibrant new care community. The new Embrace Health at Southminster provides residents who need nursing, assisted living or hospice care with a homelike setting, innovative design and a person-centered approach to care. Residents enjoy open and inviting small neighborhoods with engaging activity areas designed to encourage socialization and participation for those facing health challenges. The new design ensures residents and families always remain central to decision-making regarding their care.

Planned Giving Society

What we started as a scribble on a notepad almost 30 years ago became an idea…an inspiration, quickly turned into a conversation between two churches.

Knowing they could never accomplish the goal alone, leaders from both churches shared their vision with friends, family, and members of the community. The result – 250 families raised over ONE million dollars to break ground on what is today Southminster.

As a premier, non-profit, charitable community, Southminter prides itself on remaining true to its founding values, providing financial support to residents should unforeseen circumstances arise. Southminster is also dedicated to the greater Charlotte community though charitable giving, and service.

The 250/ONE Society honors our legacy, and recognizes Southminster’s most generous and dedicated residents, families, and community leaders through their significant financial contributions, service, and leadership. To learn more about making a planned gift contact the Office of Philanthropy.
