Southminster Reaches Out to Charlotte’s Homeless Population
Homelessness in many cities across the country has sadly reached crisis proportions – Charlotte included. Thanks to one of our residents, it came to our attention that there was a specific need to be filled in an important Charlotte ministry. To reach out to this population, once a month, Southminster’s residents and staff are joining together to act as hosts at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte on Statesville Avenue. When the men arrive, they are not only given food, but also tags for their bags to secure them for the evening, along with sheets, blankets and towels. Bringing our community of residents and staff together for a common cause and allowing them to share themselves is significantly important to Southminster.
