Services
- Activities and transportation -- our activities staff keeps the calendar filled with a variety of recreational opportunities, including art classes, special events, frequent outings, exercise classes, and computer classes, just to name a few. Because some of our residents do not drive, our transportation staff assists with weekly transportation to the grocery store, medical appointments, and shopping trips.

- Maintenance, security, housekeeping, and laundry -- these departments keep everything at Southminster clean, well-tended, secure, and maintained. Our maintenance staff is always ready to lend a helping hand, and housekeeping provides weekly cleaning services for independent residents. In addition, the presence of our uniformed security guard lends peace of mind and an added sense of security.
- Food service -- we do not subcontract our food service, which allows us full control and flexibility over quality, preparation, and presentation of all meals. A certified dietician is available for individual consultation. In addition, our food service department also offers catering services for private functions.
- Pastoral care -- our ordained chaplain is available to counsel residents and their families and assist residents with the transition to higher levels of care. In addition, local clergy representing different denominaitons routinely conduct worship services in our chapel. Residents also maintain close ties with their own congregations.
- Nursing care -- nurses are available 24-hours a day to help independent residents with medical emergencies and with short-term stays in our health center. In addition, we have two observation rooms available for residents who are ill or need assistance with pre-surgery preparations.
